Am currently making gif animations for my uni project. Since we have an assessment on Monday(YES that's THIS Monday.!), we're all busily finishing our work off and labelling the ones from other units, writing essay(s) and panicking about. That's one of five gif animation in series I need to submit for current unit.

The project is called 'Fact' - we chose one exhibit from the museums given on the list to visit, studied the object or objects from one big category of the exhibit, did a good research. I just knew what I was going to do about - a bagpipe. Living only 5 min away from Horniman museum really helped a lot for my primary research. Then I went up to Glasgow(where my heart is.!) for a few days, visited the National Piping Centre's great wee museum/gallery and a few kool places. (will blog about this later on -probably after the assessment)

We were given to choose one from five different formats for the final outcome - I chose gif animation set as I wanted to illustrate how it's made/how it sounds/how the bag moves when it's being filled with air/etc. It wasn't easy to do since it had been so many years last time I did any animation work, but am actually beginning to enjoy it a lot.

Here's my first attempt - an animation to explain how a piece of wood becomes a drone joint of a bagpipe.

Although I quite like it looking organic and its colour scheme, I didn't feel very happy with it. So I spent another two hours to give it another go, with different drawing style and all.

So here it is. Much better looking and very much ALIVE. Also easier to understand how a drone joint is made from a wood(originally trimmed from a tree). Am happy with the result, will do the other four with the same style.

OKAY it has been more than 3 months since I updated this blog, which is a SHAME. Bad student, very bad.

I had a wonderful+a lot more productive than ever before 1st term in my 2nd year. Time truly flew away, I literally had no time to update any blogs apart from daily gobshite job on FB. We had many good times doing workshops, thrilling presentations, never-ending lectures, and finalising the term with a rather jolly Xmas fair at Blackheath.

Will try to update here with stuff I've done over the last few months in chronicle order.

Whoaa. It's been SO long I didn't post anything here...so am going to upload some pics of my recent work(mostly still in progress..)

Me working in scarf roond mi head...

It's quite a big wood piece, one of those I picked up from skool at the last day of the first term. Somebody just abandoned big wood chunks with nice illustrations on them, sadly I had to put gesso on it though. Just felt not right them to be chucked away.! Good canvas to work on.

Still needs some details+typos get done, it's quite challenging for me as I hadn't done any work on any larger than b4 before. But it'll look nice when it's finished. The illustration is based on the story "The Calmative" from "The Expelled" by Samuel Beckett, which I chose for my Summer projekt. So far I'm VERY behind of the expected amount(only a few drawings for the scene, not even have started other work..), but will do my best to get all done before the term starts.

Something I've been working on for my Venus(my other heart)'s birthday. It's coming very near and I managed to finish it in time. Now waiting for the frame get delivered... It's done on canvas with gouaches + acrylics. Unfortunately I noticed that the colours go all wet when it was hot+wet weather the other day, so it needs to be protected behind the glass. I can't varnish it cos it's gouache painting, and varnishing it would make it all glossy(and kill the real gouache feeling). This one is quite large too.

Work inspired by Patricia Day from the psychobilly horror punk band "Horrorpops". She's absolutely gorgeous, beauty as fuck.! I'd always wanted to make some kind of 'fan artwork' of her, so I did it with pure joy. Still needs to be touched here and there, but won't take so long.

BADASS OWL. One of the characters of "Urbarn Owl" story I created. He's like a sidekick of the main character Urbarn Owl who likes to dress up in a fancy way.

Badass reunited...with the miniature of my character from Author projekt.

Then I did a mug for him. Will do same thing for Urbarn Owl and other characters soon...

Then it's baking time...they'll be dried in a day then I'll have to paint+varnish. Long progress but worth it.

Illustration for the website of "Skin & Bones", the corsetry shop of my pal in RoK. It's been long delayed and am working my arse off on it now.

Original work I've done on cardboard. It was a piece of parcel box and was nicely cracked and all. So got a good effect there on it to be looking aged good.

Okay, now bedtime. Will upload more (hopefully all finished) + proper 'SKOOL'work posting soon.

My da asked me to restore the other illustrations I’ve done years ago lately. I did them with Photoshop back then and this time I wanted to use my fave material- gouaches.

This is based on the most recent work of his company. I wanted to have some experiences with my skill before I get into the main work. Am not very happy with colours I chose to use here and wrong choice of paper(never use coloured paper except kraft ones…). However after some photoshop work it looks okay. Still not sure if it’s gonna be used on the brochure tho.

These are the result of the four I was aiming to restore…They definitely have VERY different atmosphere and still not sure if it was a right decision to use gouaches instead, but overall I like them. Need to add some retouchings and photoshop drawings(esp typos).

I am working on the layout for the show at the moment. Will mount the pics onto the cardboard frame then combine with the Stars&Stripes piece with text line - Rock'n'Roll Terrorist, which is said on his headstone.

Not really sure about the typeface I used there. I might replace them by my own typos.

Had planned 7 cards, but due to the near deadline+lack of ideas it ended up 5. I guess it's all good because actually those 2 cards I haven't done seem to be unnecessary information as these 5 explains very well about his life - The Birth, Once a King(of Fools), Friends&Foes, Mental Illness/Heroin addiction, The Legacy. I might need to label them. Would like to put an explanation as well but will see...

This one is my fave so far.

First two tottie stamps. I carved out the most famous two tattoos of GG Allin - LIFE SUCKS and SCUM FUCK. The letters are a bit cramped on the edge (the usual mistake I always make when doing carving letters) but thankfully they're readable.

Then I did GG's face and blood for another layer on it. It didn't went on as I planned since his facial expression on the stamp doesn't look as unique as it really does...but well, I enjoyed stamping faces and blood.! Everywhere I could stamp on was covered with those wee faces.

A day after the printings. I quite like them looking like 'aged' so I just keep the photo of it...

Below, these are my fave ones of the prints I made. Some are REALLY GOOD.

I haven't made a decision what I'll do with these yet. Maybe badges(In my head everything needs to be 'badged' ever since I god a badge machine. Yep, my life's so simple.) or freebies for each booklet.?

Well I failed. The thing was 01/wrong medium: perhaps I should've chosen printmaking inks rather than gouaches. 02/the cardboard I used for stars was too thick and barely hold the colours.

I will make another plate this week with different materials. And I WILL WIN this time.!

- Make a map of Allin's bio by each band / a year (maybe years.?)
- Sort out the Tarot, pick 10 cards which will be used for the final outcome.
- Do more drawings of Allin, study his facial expression and look.
- Watch DVDs and listen to CDs of him. (dvds I ordered last week has not arrived yet.)
- Do printmaking(monoprint/collagraph) for the background of the cards.
- Think of several different displays for the final show.

As I got the inspiration from Tarot for the current project, Venus brought beautiful(+VERY helpful!) things last weekend to give me as a reference. I had no idea about Tarot even though I look like the one who's doing witchcraft, etc. so these are just so new to me. Am learning about these one by one.

Aren't they beautiful.? I really dig the colours they've used on the illustrations. They're made in Switzerland - only using 7 colours, however the outcome is so bold and rich.

These are some books chosen by my partner. They're all well aged, looking SO GOOD.! You never get these kind of books these days.

I have been very lazy with various reasons - just PURE LAZINESS(no comment), severe toothache(I even cried), too many sunny days(I had to go out and play)... It's a late start for me, but I know I can do it. This week will be full-working-week.!

This was drawn from jaw bones+teeth which looked rather strange since it has a lot of teeth. Probably baby's.?

British Railways - Glasgow Electrics - know your train by the head code

The Glasgow 'Blue Trains' were the only example other than BR's Southern Region that used and publicised head codes for trains. Here one of the new EMU's speeds along - BR quite rightly heavily publicised their newly electrified Glasgow and Clyde suburab network.

A simple little sketch map - almost diagrammatic in effect - of London's railways c1910. Lots to look at here - with the tube network having mushroomed in a century whilst various 'mainline' branches and lines have vanished in the century.

The simplicity of this - which although geographic in layout has removed the underlying topography except the River Thames - puts me in mind of the Stingemore tube diagrams of the 1920s and indeed Harry Beck's famous Tube Diagram of 1932/33.

A page from a c1910 street atlas of London - this page showing the Lee (or Lea) Valley between Hackney and Stratford. The southern sector of the valley was heavily industrialised and utilised by many railway lines. It now forms the centre of the 2012 Olympic Games site. Very prominent are the old Great Eastern Railway's main workshops. The map also shows the then 'new' electric tramways threading their way through the many recent suburban streets of this part of London.

The New Britannia Excelsior Lamp box - carton panel, c1955

The Britannia Electric Lamp Works were based, I think, in London (Park Royal) and appear to have vanished at some point in the 1960s - I wonder who was behind them as they appear to have been founded in the 1920s when the British lamp industry was a rather tight cartel and 'going it alone' wasn't easy. The carton is duly patriotic - Britannia to the fore!

Am not at all a fan of ol' food adverts, but these really made me laugh... I wish I could get a loaf o bread wrapped in a paper like that.!

OK - very corny - but an advert for the famous HP Sauce, then made at Aston in Birmingham by the Midland Vinegar Company. Not now - still available this most English of condiments is, apparently, mostly made in the Nederlands. Perhaps it stands for Huizen van het Parlement rather than Houses of Parliament.

Bermaline was one of various 'malted' type flours and loaves available - I remember the Bermaline Mills at Haddington, in East Lothian, as it was close to the 106 bus terminus when I was a conductor.

London Transport - Victoria line underground extension to Brixton - 1972

The Brixton - or phase 2 - extension of the Victoria line opened in 1972 after the earlier opening of the Walthamstow - Victoria section. This leaflet shows the line south through Stockwell - and is one of the very few items ever issued by London Transport not wholly in the standard Johnston typeface. The early seventies were the lowest ebb in many ways for the corporate identity of the Underground prior to the re-affirmation of the company's own typeface.

Recently started watching Shamless. From series 1.! It takes about 48min for each episode, so I just play the whole series on my laptop and do some work or eat or...just watch the thing.

Never thought I'd be hooked on it this much, but I am. Can't stop watching it now until I reach series 8 which is the latest one.

When I heard the name of the series and the saw the characters, I thought it's gonna be another version of Skins kind of (rubbish) teen-drama. Well, I was very wrong. It has a similar stuff like drug/sex issues in it, but the way it serves them to you is very different. Knowing the social situation(such as people in council estate) in Britain helps me to understand them as well. And for the most, I love Vernon Francis Gallagher(Frank) very much for his wit & wisdom, but for his rather realistic view on society. After all, he is the least fucked-up in the whole Chatsworth.

But the real reason why I've been watching it in the first place was Mrs Doyle, Pauline McLynn's appearance. She's on series 7 and I can't wait.!!! (I'm now watching on 5) She's just damn hot.

As I was a latecomer to the Author project, it was only last week I started working on the moving images with other members in my group "PLAY" : Miki, Jess, and Stacy. We decided to make a stop-motion animation with mini figures of our creatures. The whole thing is happening in the island Stacy, Jess and I live on, and Miki's creature from outer space crashes on the island one day so we meet altogether, form a society with a lot of adventures.

The pasties.! Essentials for my creature - pasty + rum(alcohol) + tin whistle.

Didn't really mean it looking like a goth...but well.

In the studio waiting for others, arranged the props+figure as a set. I worked on (obviously) mountains and woodlands with some bush. Painting them was a lot of fun, messing around with gouaches(my favourite medium.!).

It was the first time I worked on a stop-motion animation. I sort of had bad memories about the whole 'making animation' thing which are from my secondary school years. I studied in Comics/Characters there, and my second degree was Animation. Later I ended up regretting my choice all the time as I was sick of doing a bunch of(about a hundred or more) same drawings. It was just not for me I guess, but now I think perhaps I should've given more passion in even if I didn't want to do it.

Anyway, this stop-motion animation session was very inspiring to me, motivated me to think about 'animation' once again. We still have a lot to do, adding sounds and all, so should work harder.!

My first bunch of badges.

I’ve finally got a badge machine.! It had been more than 5 years since I first dreamt of having it. I bought it via eBay (as usual) with 1,000 components. There are three companies which make the machines and it gave me such a headache to decide which to buy.! The company I bought is Enterprise(UK) which I thought the best as I can later buy more dies(38/45/58mm) without buying another machine - moneysaver.!

So here we go…the first bunch of badges I made today.

I used scraped bits’n’pieces(IRN BRU/Tunnock’s wafer biscuit), receipts from West Cornwall Pasty Co.(our favourite.!)/Fopp, my business card, and a photograph(printed by Pogo). I was worried a bit as the business card was made of a quite heavy paper(150g/m), but ended up real good looking.

First attempt to make it without a plastic cover was failed. I think it doesn’t really work with paper. I’ll try it out again with clothes later.

I wonder how long the prints last under the sunlight on these badges. Usually prints on receipts fade out pretty quick as they are exposed to sunlight. The plastic cover would slow it down OR prevent being faded though.?

At this point I think I should share some photos of costume building process. So here we go...a bunch of photos.!

First of all, my five primary needs are:

a Pennywhistle : a tune to defend yersel from scary monsters.
Alcohol : Rum would be perfect, but good ol' ales are just fine.

a Pasty (it HAS TO BE West Cornwall Society's) : would keep you going.! you need a special bag(i made a sporran) to keep yer pasty warm.

a Camera : ya need tae take pics to study the mosters.! the scary ones.

Woodlands : too hide in. it is your home nest.

To be honest, I felt born again after applying the makeup. It had been so long time I wore those kind of makeup - some people call it 'goth' but it's NOT - and it reminded me so much of my band years.

I already have one new-year resolution for 'resurrecting DOPPELHERZ(my band)', so we will see. I am quite excited even thinking of it - rehearsing, playing gigs, recording an album - even though I have a long way to go to get a keyboard.

A bunch of scouts (I assume they're cubs) were there before us. Seeing scout cubs or guides always makes me smile, reminds me when I was a scout. :-)

Obviously this one is burnt out after a crash. As we moved to the bomber hall the air has changed all of sudden - into very thick and heavy. There's a numerous stories about the ghosts in the bomber hall from the workers, hearing noises in nights and all.

Airport Crash Tender.! I've got a model of it made by Matchbox after seeing it in the museum. It's a bit scruffy and also have lost its ladder, but am so happy with my wee crash tender. :-)

I've been to RAF museum last year and it was absolutely fantastic. I loved looking around all those aircrafts and drawing them into my sketchpad with pens and coloured pencils.

So I decided to make a small book combining all the drawings I've done at there + some reproduced ones.

The logo above is the cover of the book. It's still unfinished, hopefully gonna finish it after a visit to RAF museum at Cosford which is planned on 5th March. We - Venus & I + Paul, Graham, Keith from our re-enactment group - are gonna do a swap meet as well. So excited.!

This bomber has a spirit of its own. You've gotta see it in your own eyes. Amazing.

My favourite aircraft so far...Yes, it's German again. I might as well move to Germany and live happily for ever. I'm currently desperately looking for the model kit of this aircraft "Fokker D VII". Isn't it strange that the museum doesn't supply a model kit for the aircraft they have at the exhibition.?

Oh yeh.!!! RAF Bomb Disposal Zephyr. Fkkn great motor. I looked this up on eBay when we've got home, but the price was just crazy...20 quid or so. Someday I shall have it.

35 pics..whoaah.! It was first time I used Polaroid Pogo II that day. It was pretty amazing that I could take a pic and then in about 30 sec I could also have a print of it. The quality of picture is brilliant, however the functions are so basic you wouldn't really get a good shot if lack of lights.

These pics are taken by both Pogo II and (my good old) Canon G10.

Okay, I know it's damn late for posting museum trips...but since I've won over the laziness + scanned all drawings I've done last year I'll post them one by one.

These 6 drawings (above) were the assignment from the first visit to British Museum. I no longer remember what the theme was, but seems like we had to reproduce some images we found from the museum.

And these were from second visit. We spent a day at the museum, then had an assignment which was to produce an illustration or a kind by a theme we've got. Mine was 'Bury the Dead' (easy peasy.!) and here's my final work:

I've been having a very tough week dealing with rats + food poisoning. The landlady wouldn't be arsed enough to send a proper pest control with proper tools and it led the situation worse - the rats removed the filling (steel wool) which blocked the hole, then started re-appearing. I also found them under the sink. Seriously, I just want to move out now. Cannot do ANYTHING includes sleep as I have to keep my eyes on them not to come out again. I'm totally exhausted, feel so drained, waiting for another phone call from the landlady.

You might think it's quite a cutie, but it's not. Seriously I had the longest Monday+Tuesday and am very, very lack of sleep. I first heard big noises last Friday and thought it was between walls, but no, it was inside running around.

Saw the actual rat on Monday after college, then panicked a bit, then found a hole, then had to wait til the morning to contact to landlady's office. What a life. Am also having a terrible itchy skin rash/hives all over my body and that really helped me to get through this shit.

Hopefully I could sort out all this in a week as I do not wish to miss out any workshop/skool work any more.

I get incredibly productive when I get angry, mostly by people. Some said to me that its' pathetic that I get such an energy from expressing anger to the world. Wow, really. I consider keeping everything quite and saying Love&Peace all the time like those hippies is way more dangerous than expressing anger.

The world's full of shite situations. I see most wonderful things and most dirty things at the same time. I praise what I love and adore, and I complaint / criticise what I loathe. The thing's that you wouldn't get 'energy' from what you love. It might give you comfort, happiness, cosiness, motivation and inspiration, but not as much energy you'd get from 'Anger'.

Of course, you need to control your anger otherwise it will control YOU. The difference between negative and positive energy you get from anger is the way you handle it when you express it. I consider that when you try to recreate something about the subject that you've got anger from, it will be good for you anyway. But keeping those feelings inside and cursing people around is a negative activity and can conclude a serious mental-illness.

Mostly I write things down like I do here, but sometimes I draw/paint stuff. Just look at me now - I am writing a quite some serious articles because someone gave me such an energy as she wrote stupid things about me.!

Okay here we go...same old, but still very popular subject :
Wearing swastika/SS waffen stuff means being a Nazi OR a follower/worshiper of them. True.?

If you look back those times, the punk scenes in the 70s, You'd not believe how many rough and raw materials exist there. Although the punk was invented(or, rather, found) in the States, it got real popular in the UK as an anarchy and rebels to the Government the notorious Maggie(the Kunt) was ruling. Pink Floyd's sataire political views would seem even soft compare to the gang of John Lydon, Adam and the Ants, Viviene Westwood, etc.

They used all kinds of controversial - either sexually or politically - stuff - bondages, swastika, German eagle(the Third Reich), a photo of Karl Marx, a logo of Anarchism, a picture of penis, cowboys having gay sex... Were they racists or Nazis.? Hell no. They were exactly OPPOSITE to those in fact. Only stupid people who only look at the 'symbols' can accuse them as Nazis or Racists.

Same thing happenes to the most famous Nazi memorabilia collector, Lemmy Kilmister (from Motorhead). Now, people often argue Lemmy's a fkkn Nazi because the only thing he wears is German stuff from WWII. They find swastikas, skulls, eagles all over his clothes and see the bomber on the stage and simply think - He is a fkkn Nazi.

The true story is that he's very intelligent person and of course way too far from being a Nazi. He states that he's an anti-communism, fascism and any extremes, and that's very true. He's rather a pure collector of what he's fonder of so much and you cannot judge him just because his hobby's a bit too controversial. He has his OWN world and you're not even invited to be there. So, shut up and listen to his great music. The guy's way more talented than YOU.

I had very same problems with Nazi stuff which I no longer really wear, but might start wearing them again. I had a cracking armband which has an 'altered' swastika with some letterings and all, it was custom made from my friend's punk/goth shop back in RoK. I proudly wore it nearly every day and I also wore it during my trip to EU - of course, I did NOT wear it in Germany you stupid.

The thing's that people didn't really care about what I wore in Europe although some people advised me that I should be careful with those. But well, Koreans DID care, a bit too much. I know some Koreans accused me as a stupido because I wore Nazi stuff. The fact is that they don't even know why I was wearing them. As a matter of fact I do not even like Hitler though I have some my own opnions that are not much critical about what he's done. Does that make me a Nazi.? I don't think so.

I wore those Nazi-like - I'd name it like this because those were not genuine, I would never buy or collect genuine Nazi memorabilia because it's not my cup of tea really, I like altered/modified ones - things because, first of all, I liked the design of it. Also I like such an impact the simple logo can give, and I mostly like the political view of it. Unlike Lemmy, I wore altered ones because, in my view, those represent actually 'anti-Nazism'.

For once I got a genuine German eagle tie pin from a fan after a gig and that was the first and the last time I had a Nazi memorabilia. I wore them everyday, but covered the swastika often because I didn't really want to be misunderstood as a Nazi, or even worse, a fashion-punk who doesn't even know what the eagle+swastika mean.

So, if you're saying I'm a silly boy or a Nazi because I wore swastika and eagles and I still have them, you are very wrong. This impulsive misjudgement always brings me a bitter laugh. How could people be so stupid.? Do they even think before they say those shit.? Like I said to the other bitch, please know others' boundaries. You are NOT me, and you do NOT think like me.

Just love the rhythm and the bold style of him. My view on his work has changed after I read his autobiography which was very hard to read because there are so many emotional/psychological stuff in there. Actually if anyone's a fan of him, I recommend to read it first - it makes everything he's done very clear. Was the most impressive autobiography ever for me and I'm not a fan of autobiography at all.! (Since I read so many crappy ones)

It's a bit sad story that it is only a few year back when he realised that he's been suffering with bipolar all his life, and was sent to a mental home eventually. He's now seemingly okay+doing small gigs again though.

Anyway, I thought those vids(below) would lead me some ideas about the current project we're doing, Author, and boy I was right.

Well well well... here's the notorious Alice. He is well-known for his make-up, being the godfather of Shock Rock, tho now he's much more famous for a single handed golfer, but for the most his theatrical live performance has been many musicians' inspiration. He dies four times on the stage and each death has an epic performance with brilliant choreography and costumes.

These are the two I find very interesting. I really dig those dancing spirits(bottles) in the first footage.

I LOVE British comedy. I grew up with Mr.Bean series, fell in love with Monty Python, laughed out loud so many times watching Young Ones, and later I discovered a few favourite (modern) comedy series - Black Books, Still Game(Scotland), Chewin' the Fat(Scotland), Father Ted(Ireland), The Mighty Boosh, The IT Crowd.

God there're so many great comedians I cannot even write down em all.! Let's just say Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran and Billy Connolly are in my fave.

When I heard we're going to make a costume, I immediately thought of The Mighty Boosh.

Although many teens like it cos there're a fine young good-looking guy Vince Noir(Noel Fielding), I like this series for some other reasons. It's just mental and fun to watch, the vivid coloured artwork+costumes make my eye bleed happily, and I truly love the songs played in the series. Rokk'n'Roll.!

Went to Brighton with Venus last Sunday. I've desperately needed a sea-therapy for the last few weeks, to breath in some fresh salty air and also freshen up myself. I was so happy to see the sea again. The weather was surprisingly good - was warm and sunny all day.! - and I took loads of photos with my camera(s).

I brought three cameras to the trip - Pentax P50(35mm), Canon G10(digital) and Fuji Instax wide(polaroid). It WAS hard to carry them, but I really enjoyed taking pictures there. Overall I took 3 rolls of 35mm, several of digital and some good polaroid pics. Now I've got 8 films in total to send for a development...and scan 'em into digital files. Work, work, work.

Went to Veggie cafe and got VERY disappointed by such a hippie attitude from the server, though the burgers were okay. I wanted to have a veggiewurst but they said it's out of stock for a while. Also had to go out finding an atm machine which took me 10 min to find because the fkkn hippie was too stoned to get me a right info. I hate hippies. Really it's because of their 'I don't care about anything but myself' attitude and 'got nothing to do but getting stoned and having some free-sex' or 'I love peace and we're all friends' bullshit. Their hypocritical side would soon appear when there's a thought that they'd get no advantage of anything - love & peace my arse.

Am not just pissed off because they looked like hippies. Seriously, why wouldn't you put a sign "CASH ONLY PLEASE" or something on the door.? And how could you be that lazy not being bothered correcting the menu that there'll be NO veggiewurst or, even remove it from the menu.? We've seen more than four people had to change the menu because they've not got fkkn veggiewurst and couldn't even bothered to put a notice for it.

We found a good-classical-looking diner in another place, so we'll go there next time. Actually there were so many veggie restaurants I was so surprised. Even we saw the sign on the wall of the pub saying "Vegetarian Fish&Chips" .?!! I am SO curious what it would be. Never had a fish-related dish made out of soya protein or so for veggies in my life.! Well, 8 and half quid for just fish&chips was a bit extravaganza for us, so it's postponed to next visit.

The pier got a more interesting view when the lights were on. I regret I forgot to use cross filter which I brought for night scenes.

And I was a penny-whistler in the windy windy beach that night. It was so hard to play even a note because of the wind, but was a jolly fun. Venus took some pics of me playing it so we'll see how I'd look there. :-)

I am still struggling and finding it so hard about the written assignment we all have to hand in this Tues. I don't even know if I'm gonna make it or not. So, though I haven't written a word yet, I had to cool down my brain with some music I love.

Music, especially R'n'R has always been my life. I've listened to many great, inspiring songs and admired lots of talented musicians.

It eventually made me DO music a few years back. Though I'm currently 'resting' my hands and throat for more important things to do, I still love music more than painting/illustration/design pieces. Who knows, I may not be an illustrator, but a musician in the end. I'd love to combine those two and have my colony of Kreations "DOPPELHERZ" set sail to the world though.

There're hundreds of musicians I adore/respect, but a few of them really got me spiritually. The first musician I ever was so impressed and made me imagine beautiful things was Enya. I was only ten back then, but was so into her music I bought her tape spending all my pennies for my mum's birthday - actually I was the one who always played the tape with my walkman and my mum got furious saying "You didn't buy this for my birthday did you.?!".

This Finnish band, Children of Bodom is the one of those bands which have been inspiring me ever since I discovered 'heavy metal'. Their music actually take me those forests and lakes in Finland although I've never been there except a few days at Helsinki.

And this Industrial band, Nine Inch Nails was a BIG discovery and got me shocked more than when I first bought and listened Marilyn Manson's the most controversial album 'Mechanical Animals' in 1999.

Actually the second one I played was Flower of Scotland, though I didn't form it as an illustrated fingering chart yet. Am gonna use printmaking method for that one. This became a collection and I really enjoy doing it. :-)

Today was a skool day...after a long winter break. Some things were changed in the studio, I felt a bit weird of being surrounded by many people. I actually felt a bit awkward. But had a good chat with klassmates and my tutor in the end, so it ended up okay.

No matter everyone says he's a nut case + paedophile, I love Mr. Glitter. I never thought that 'paedophile theory' was true any way.

No one makes music like this any more. In fact, no one has such a strong imaginary on their music like people did in the 70-80's. That's a part of the reasons I've stopped going to Camden Town last year. You wouldn't see any alternatives there except millions of tourists and same kinds of boring shops selling fake punk/gothic stuff.

Drew a notes diagram of the Wild Rover (tuned D), one of my fave Irish songs.

Because...

I got a pennywhistle.! It's so much like a recorder I had for years when I was wee, but produces very different sound. Been playing a bit to master the Wild Rover all eve, then stopped around 2100h. My neighbours were probably quite annoyed by that.

Anyway it was a great fun.! It'd been ages since I played all kinds of flute. I used to play+practise musical instruments a lot at skool. Also brings memories about my first recorder...black and white, a classic one.

Then, I did some work... god. Why the hell am I so slow.? I spent hrs and got only a few things done.

I really need to boost my pace for next week. Deadlines are coming and the pressure is too much.

the new year has come. Am I well glad 2010 is now behind.

Last year was not bad, but a very tough one. I wouldn't forget all those events and adventures I had been through. Some are good, some are just fkkn awful - but those are all precious memories for me.

I have started working on stuff again just after a midnight snack, so I have started the year with working, that's good.! This week was too much for me, too many nightmares and pressure.. but am now feeling much better, feeling optimistic about this year.

The lazy days are over now. I have got an essay to write, a project to work on. Would you believe that I haven't even started the essay yet.?

Am trying out those new multicoloured cotton threads these days.

Tonight's result. It takes a while to make shapes and especially alphabet letters, but is very enjoyable indeed.!
